Rubber sheet is a material widely used in industry, construction, automobile, aerospace and other fields. It has excellent properties such as good elasticity, wear resistance and corrosion resistance. So, how is the rubber sheet made? This article will introduce the manufacturing process of rubber sheet in detail.

The manufacture of rubber sheets is usually divided into six steps

1.Raw material preparation

The production of rubber sheets requires the use of raw materials such as rubber, fillers, plasticizers, and vulcanizing agents. These raw materials need to be prepared in advance and undergo screening, grinding, etc. to ensure that their quality meets the requirements.

2.Mixing rubber

In the mixing machine, the rubber, filler, plasticizer, vulcanizing agent and other raw materials are mixed according to a certain proportion, and fully blended by mixing and heating. The purpose of this step is to homogenize the different raw materials and make them form a tough, wear-resistant and aging-resistant mixture.

3.Calendering rubber

Put the mixed rubber into the calender, and adjust the distance between the rollers of the machine to compress the rubber to the desired thickness and density. After calendering rubber, some other processing is required, such as printing, embossing, etc., to meet the different needs of users.

4.Vulcanized Rubber

Vulcanization is the last and most important step in the manufacture of rubber sheets. In the vulcanization tank, the calendered rubber sheet is added with vulcanizing agent and subjected to high temperature treatment to make the rubber sheet more tough, wear-resistant and aging-resistant. During the vulcanization process, the molecular structure inside the rubber sheet changes, giving it better performance and stability.

5.Post-processing

The vulcanized rubber sheet needs post-processing, including cooling, cleaning, inspection, etc., to ensure that the quality and performance of the rubber sheet meet the standards and requirements.

6.Inspection and packaging

The manufactured rubber sheet needs to be strictly inspected and tested to ensure its quality and performance meet the standards and requirements. After inspection and testing, unqualified products will be eliminated. Qualified products will be packed and ready to be shipped to customers.

Overall, the process of manufacturing rubber sheets is a complex process that requires multiple steps. Manufacturers need to adopt advanced equipment and technology.
